Well... Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated around the world on Feburary 14 but, it did have a brutal beginning....
The history of Valentine's Day all started when a preist named by Valentinus who served during the thrid century in Rome. Then, Emperor Claudius II decided that single men in those times made better soliders than men with wives and families. So, Claudius II outlawed marriage for young men.
Valentinus didn't agree with this new law, so he defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret . However,Valentinus's actions were discovered, Claudius was furious so he order him to death.
While in Jail Valentinus fell in love with is Jailmates's daughter so he wrote her a love letter signed " Your Valentine" this became the started the modern day Valentine's Day.
